Set

It will be our first set design session on Wednesday and we will be going shopping for a few pieces that we need to get. I will be posting what decorations we get here along with hopefully some photos.

We already have the flooring that we are hoping to use, it is just the wallpaper and some set decorations such as a crib (which we are hoping to get from a charity shop of some kind) and an outfit for our creepy uncanny child. Hopefully we can get a crib for a lower price than what we have seen on the internet. The crib doesn't need to be particularly new, seen as we are going with the Eraserhead head look which means that hopefully we can get one for a low price.

I feel like we have most of the things that we need for set decoration, which shortens our process of making up the set in general.

We had our first day building a set, in which we put up 3 of the 4 flats we will be using. We also tested some of the paint that was available from the stores. We decided we needed to buy our own black as it was too water based, so Jess and Bronte have bought some. 

We also got some wallpaper as we are planning to peel back to reveal a distressed wall. This is to make the set appear much more grimy and to help with the sense of uncanny that we are meant to be portraying. We are yet to buy the cot for our scenes but Louis is the one that is selecting this.
